It is critical for you to define & describe what you want your retirement to look like. Let's look at the article. Based on the information in the article, Liz is going to have a tough time retiring. Using the Trinity Study, Liz can expect to withdrawal 4% from the 401(k) and not exhaust the 401(k); but, if the pension doesn't have a Cost of Living Adjustment(COLA), she is going to have a tough time and, by age 70, is going to regret having made the decision to retire.
